Fun kit. Nice to build something different.

Had fun building this robotic waiter lol. Glad Kotubukiya came out with it. It’s so basic that you dont really need the manual . The details are there but would need a little work to make it pop. I added some pane lines and painted the bottom gap silver to give it more detail.

To say that I was surprised to see a kit of this is an understatement. It's cute, unique, and pretty cheap. Even as a slow builder, it was an afternoon project, and I'm happy with the results. It was a 3/5 kit in all honesty but it was so cheap and the end result is so adorable, I can't help but round it up. I can't help but smile when I look over at it on my desk.
For better and worse, this kit is SO simple. It has a white runner, a black runner, and the face stickers. Yes, I am about to talk about color accuracy for a $20 robot cat waiter kit with 13 parts. If you want yours to look like the box images, it's going to take painting. Silver on the base (you'll probably need a brush to reach all the way in, I gave up), black on the inside, the sensors on the head, and the sensors on the sides of the tray.
While it was a little difficult to paint the inside of the body, the end result looks good, and the white plastic is thick enough that you can't see dark spots from the paint on the outside.
It's worth a pickup if you have a spare night and some gundam markers and want something silly for your shelf. Plus honestly reading this review might have taken you longer than building it.
